Announces Auditions for
Cinderella (Enchanted Edition)”

Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center holds auditions for its spring musical production of “Cinderella (Enchanted Edition)” Nov. 19 - 20. Students enrolled at any public school on Oahu are encouraged to try out. This audition is open to students from grade 4 to grade 12.
Auditions will be held Nov. 19 and 20th 3:00 to 6:30 p.m (must check-in and sign-up by 4:30pm) at KHSPAC’s auditorium. Callbacks only on Nov. 21st.
"The Prince Is Giving A Ball" and you are all invited!  The Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center proudly announces our 2015 Spring Musical, "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (Enchanted Edition)".  Originally presented on television in 1957 featuring Julie Andrews, our production is an adaptation of the 1997 remake starring recording artists Whitney Houston and Brandy.  One of the most beloved stories of all time, this production is a classic fairy tale reborn for the stage and will be a sparkling fantasy of music, magic, and romance.  Come join us as Cinderella and her Prince waltz into the hearts of the entire family and live happily ever after as the "Impossible" becomes possible.

Performers should come prepared to sing at least 16 bars of a Broadway song from the traditional Broadway repertoire by Rogers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Lowe, (From shows like “South Pacific,” “Oklahoma,” or “Camelot”). If performers plan to audition for a specific role, singing a song from “Cinderella” would be a good idea. No pop or rap songs. Please bring sheet music written in the key you will perform it – a pianist will be provided. No recordings will be allowed.

Performers should prepare a memorized monologue about one minute in length for the acting portion of the audition. Come dressed in dance clothes and shoes for the dance audition.
Rehearsals at KHSPAC begin Tuesday, November 25, 2014.  Monday-Friday rehearsals 3:30pm to 6:30pm; Saturday rehearsals 10:00pm to 5:00pm (TBD.) Performances run from Feb. 20 – March 8.
Production team includes Michael Ng, Director, Nanilisa Pascua as Music Director, Deanna Luster, Choreographer with Set Design by M.J. Matsushita.
